As part of the Independence Day celebrations, Noor-e-Sehar Special Education School (NSSES) organized a friendly inter-school sports event titled “Azadi Matches” on Tuesday, 26th August 2025, at Jinnah Hall, Daharki. The event brought together students and staff from NSSES and Engro Model School for a day of sportsmanship, inclusion, and camaraderie.
The visiting delegation from Engro Model School included ten students, both male and female, along with three staff members. They were warmly welcomed by the Principal and Academic Coordinator of NSSES on their arrival.
The matches featured badminton and tug of war, with both students and staff members participating. Students of NSSES competed against their peers from Engro Model School, while teachers and staff members from both institutions also took part. Since these were friendly matches, victories were shared by both schools, highlighting the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and mutual respect.
One of the most memorable aspects of the event was the participation of students with disabilities, who enthusiastically cheered, clapped, and celebrated each victory. Their excitement and energy added joy and vibrancy to the atmosphere, reinforcing NSSES’s commitment to inclusivity.
The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, where participants and guests celebrated the spirit of Azadi. Everyone enjoyed tea and snacks together in a warm and friendly environment. The Azadi Matches not only honored Pakistan’s Independence but also provided a meaningful platform for interaction, inclusion, and healthy competition between the two schools.
In appreciation, NSSES extended heartfelt gratitude to Engro Model School for their enthusiastic participation and collaboration in making the Azadi Matches a memorable success.
