Curriculum Scheme of Studies
At Noor-e-Sehar Special Education School, Daharki, At NSSES, we offer a comprehensive range of educational and rehabilitation services tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities. Our curriculum is designed to foster holistic development through the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach, ensuring students can engage, express, and interact with content in various ways that suit their learning styles.
Kindergarten (Theme-Based Learning)
In Kindergarten, we implement a theme-based curriculum where subjects are integrated into monthly themes, allowing students to explore concepts through hands-on activities. This collaborative, play-driven learning promotes active engagement and fosters group work, helping students develop essential social and cognitive skills. Phonics is a key component of our curriculum, enabling young learners to build strong reading foundations.
Grades 1 to 5 (Sindh Textbook Board Curriculum)
For Grades 1 to 5, we follow the Sindh Textbook Board curriculum, supplemented with summative and formative assessments to monitor student progress. The curriculum is carefully selected to align with current educational trends, providing up-to-date content that prepares students for both local and global learning contexts. Extracurricular activities are integrated to encourage experiential learning and growth across multiple developmental domains.
Individualized Support
We provide Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring modified curricula, and for those who need adaptations, we deliver general education to help prepare them for mainstream schooling. For students with visual impairments, we use Braille books, while Sign Language resources support those with hearing impairments.
Specialized Support for Intellectual Disabilities and Autism
For students with intellectual disabilities and autism, we use a specialized toolkit to track progress across developmental domains, offering targeted interventions to help overcome challenges. Dedicated time is allocated to enhance their daily living and functional skills, ensuring their educational experience is comprehensive and supportive.
